Kentucky State Fair

Well, we were up and running the roads again today! This time we headed to Louisville to fight the crowd at the state fair. Kelsey was a good girl. She let us walk through the exhibits and then we took her to ride the rides. She was able to ride 2 of them all by herself and she did a great job! Of course her favorite is the slide and she and daddy went down it 4 times!! We were brave and took her in the ferris wheel. I was a nervous wreck the entire time. Of course Kelsey wanted to look around and didn't want to sit still. So, no more ferris wheel for her...for a very long time.

Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey

Tonight we took Kelsey to the circus. There was a pre-show event where we could meet the performers. Kelsey wasn't crazy about the clowns, but enjoyed watching the pre-show performances.

Kelsey did really well during the circus. The 2nd part started getting a little long for her and she started getting tired and antsy, but she hung in there. We had a great time!

We went to the circus with the Wells Family. Kelsey loved Caleb...she was even giving him kisses and on their first play date in several months!

Kelsey's Special Day

I can't believe we have had our precious girl for a year already. She has grown so much in so many ways. Today we celebrated with dinner, a few gifts (of course), and we watched the video from our 1st meeting. We'd never watched the video, so it was interesting to watch it and see our expressions and actions. It wasn't always quite like we remembered it. It's funny how time does that to you.

Kelsey got an easel and she has already colored several pictures on it.

She also enjoyed several bites of airplane cookie. However, each bite was off of a different cookie! Oh well, they were her cookies anyway.

Kelsey we love you very much and can't believe how quickly this year has gone. You have enriched our lives so much and we can't imagine life without you.

Family Day Pictures

Well, Kelsey's "Gotcha Day" or what we will now refer to as "Kelsey's Special Day" is coming up on Friday. So, I wanted to start a few traditions with her special day. Each year we will have Family Pictures taken sometime around her special day. We had pictures taken Sunday night and they really turned out cute. So, here they are with a few pics from last year.

We went to an art show at Elk Creek Winery last weekend. Kelsey slept through the entire thing!


Since Kelsey is not really allowed to drive the golf cart we had to get her a car she could drive. She has already had a few wrecks in the house! Ah!

Rusty and Kelsey went to Bass Pro Sunday. They were taking pictures and here is Kelsey's. Not that she will be hunting deer...ever! :)

Golf Carts

Well, here is the long awaited Willhoite golf cart pic. We have used it quite a bit in the last week. Our neighbors probably think we are crazy!! But, I guess we probably are...

Today mom and dad bought their own golf cart....hee hee!! Tonight we cleaned them both up and got them looking pretty. Now we can easily tootle back and forth.
