Today was a very exciting day. I had a wonderful southern lunch, shimp and grits, with Marie at Science Hill in Shelbyville and was about to leave when Rusty called to say we'd received Kelsey's legal documents. That means we are another step closer to bringing her home.
We read over her documents, they are pretty basic and generic in form. They are pretty much the same for every child...it's just a formalilty. Then, we completed the I-600 which will be mailed to our USCIS office in Louisville. (I will mail those documents in the morning.) :) This will begin the process to issue her visa so that she can come home. We are officially finished with paperwork. From this point on the various agencies, Holt Korea and Holt USA, and governments will send the paperwork back and forth between themselves and complete the visa approval process.
Typically, it takes 2 months to receive legals and we received ours in about 2 weeks. So, we are feeling very blessed that our process seems to be going faster than normal.

Kim, I am so happy for you and Rusty. Ya-Ya is so excited at work! LOL, she talks all the time about her "baby". This is such a blessing and I am so proud for you all!
